The people behind the work

The people behind Vedicology Foundation

Vedicology Foundation was co-founded in 2024 by Praveen Saanker, Founder and Director, and Vandana Praveen, Director. Between them they bring decades of senior wealth-management and financial-governance experience. They add a doctorate in clinical psychology, and the discipline that decides whether a non-profit can be trusted with money.

They lead a team of regional coordinators across Tamil Nadu and Kerala who carry the work on the ground. Together they fund the education of adolescent girls and young women aged 18 and above. We do not fund minors.

Trust in a non-profit begins with the people behind it. Here are the people behind Vedicology Foundation — their real names, their real credentials, and the work each of them holds.

PS

Praveen Saanker

Founder and Director

FinancePsychology

Praveen Saanker is the founder of Vedicology Advisors, a practice based in Chennai and Dubai. It works on the deeper human questions wealth creates for Indian families — about identity, purpose, succession, legacy, and what a family actually wants from what it has built.

He spent over two decades in senior roles in wealth management and private banking. He was Senior Vice President at HSBC India, overseeing advisory relationships across South India. At ASK Wealth Advisors, he was a Director in the Family Wealth and Family Office Advisory division, and part of the founding team.

His qualifications span finance and the mind. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and a Master's in Counselling from the University of Canterbury, an Executive MBA from IMD Business School, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Madras.

He co-founded Vedicology Foundation with Vandana Praveen in 2024. For him, the Foundation is a direct expression of a conviction that runs through all his work: that wealth held without a sense of stewardship is not fully understood.

VP

Vandana Praveen

Director

FinanceHR

Vandana Praveen co-founded Vedicology Foundation and serves as Director. She holds responsibility for financial governance and accounting.

She holds dual postgraduate qualifications in Finance and Human Resource Management. She brings over 25 years of experience across client service, portfolio management, and organisational finance. Her role covers the financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and institutional oversight that a Section 8 company under Indian law requires.

Her stewardship is what sustains the Foundation's accountability — both to the young women it supports, and to the framework that governs non-profits in India.

On the ground

Our coordinators

The day-to-day work is carried by our coordinators on the ground. They find the young women we can support, connect each one to the right programme, and stay with her case from referral to a fee paid.

BA

Bina Aditya

Empowerment Coordinator, Chennai

Bina holds a Master's degree in Psychology and brings over three decades across the hospitality, apparel export, and real estate sectors. Her career began at the Taj Group of Hotels, and she has since worked with some of the most reputed hospitality and apparel brands in the world.

That breadth — knowing how institutions actually work, and how to earn the trust of the people inside them — is exactly what she brings to Vedicology Foundation. In Chennai, she holds together the relationships that make support real. They run between the young women leaving institutional care, the institutions that teach them, and the aftercare centres that know them best.

She identifies who we can support, connects each young woman to the right programme, and keeps the steady contact that makes that support matter long after a single payment.

AV

Anoop V

Empowerment Coordinator, Kerala

Anoop has spent nearly two decades in field management and team leadership across Kerala, building a reputation for delivery in roles where results were measured every single day. He has managed distributor and client networks at scale, led teams under real commercial pressure, and learned the state — its districts, its institutions, its people — the way only sustained field work teaches you.

That is precisely what ground-level coordination demands of him here. It takes the discipline to follow through, the ability to hold many relationships at once, and a familiarity with Kerala that turns a programme on paper into a young woman enrolled in a real college.

As Kerala Coordinator, he leads our outreach, identifies the young women we can stand with, and maintains our working relationships with educational institutions across the state.

DV

Devika V

Student Coordinator

Devika brings three decades in client relations across banking, IT, real estate, and wealth management. Her tenures include Standard Chartered and HDFC Bank, and she currently serves as Client Relations Manager at Vedicology Family Business Advisors.

Three decades of looking after demanding clients teaches one thing above all: how to make a person feel genuinely looked after, not processed. That is what she brings to her work here. As Student Coordinator, she walks each young woman through the part that decides everything — the outreach, the enrolment, and the steady follow-through.

It is the work that connects a young woman leaving institutional care with the scholarship and vocational pathways we run. Her aim is simple: that the process should feel built around the young woman, not the other way around.

They are the faces a young woman and her family are most likely to meet. To reach anyone on the team, there is one number for everyone, below.
